Maryam Nemazee is an Iranian British broadcast journalist with a strong track record in the media industry. Born in London to Iranian parents, Nemazee holds degrees in history and politics from Durham University and City University in London.
Nemazee began her career at Al Jazeera English, where she presented on their flagship programme, Newshour. During her time there, she conducted interviews with notable figures such as former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Paul Volcker, OPEC Secretary-General Abdallah Salem el-Badri, and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde.
From 2010 to 2013, Nemazee joined Bloomberg Television as a London-based anchor. She presented on various programmes, conducted exclusive interviews, and analysed real-time breaking news affecting global markets. She covered significant events worldwide, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the MENASA and COMESA events, and the European debt crisis.
